Expansive Jazz Vocalist, Aimee Allen was born and raised in Pittsburgh, PA. She has embraced and had an interest in Jazz since childhood. Aimee's fourth and most recently released CD Matter of Time debuted in May. The album is an exciting collection of Aimee's new compositions and unconventional interpretations of standards. The CD features Romero Lubambo on guitar; Francios Moutin on bass; Toru Dodo on piano; and, Jacob Melchior on drums.
This past July she performed in Paris where she started her first vocal group, La Bossa Novice, after graduating from The Sorbonne.
Aimee will be joining me to talk about her music and her influences Saturday afternoon during Jazz Tones, 2:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m. on Jazz 91.9, Atlanta's Jazz Station.
