La Sorte is Founder and Creative Director of Ambassadora and a creative strategist with over 25 years experience in arts, education, politics, community engagement and communications. The former director of Urban Bush Women (UBW), she managed business and program operations, including strategic planning, board development, fundraising and community engagement. Jana is a former college professor and former TV host and producer, she lectures and writes on cultural policy, arts management, corporate responsibility, communications and more. She created Ask the Experts, an industry platform to assist emerging and mid-career jazz artists that is still running 15 years later. Formerly on boards for Dance/NYC, Beat Brooklyn and United Palace of Cultural Arts, she now serves on the boards for the Dominican Women's Development Center and AIR Serenbe, a artist residency program in Georgia.
