Jazz 91.9 WCLK Joins HBCU Public Radio Stations on Educational Initiative | Save A Life

Jazz 91.9 WCLK, Atlanta’s Jazz Station joins 14 other Historically Black College or University (HBCU) licensed public radio stations in a joint educational initiative, the Save A Life Campaign. The Save A Life Campaign will help bring awareness to the African American communities concerning COVID-19.

Many Black and Hispanic people around the nation are losing their lives due to this pandemic and lack of informative education.  HBCU public radio stations like Jazz 91.9 WCLK, are trusted sources for information that in this case, can help save more lives in the communities we serve.

The Save A Life Campaign debuts this month on 91.9 WCLK with a series of public service messaging, special interviews and testimonials from medical experts, faith leaders, celebrities, influencers and local government officials.  “The health pandemic, and now the Delta variant is still having a tremendous impact on communities, globally, communities of color, particularly,” says Wendy Williams, general manager, Jazz 91.9 WCLK.  “We are pleased to partner with HBCU licensed public radio stations on the Save A Life initiative so that we can help boost information about access to services and resources,” adds Williams.

The goal of the Save A Life Campaign is to motivate and engage minority communities to continue to mask up, social distance and protect each other.  For more information about Jazz 91.9 WCLK programming, visit:  www.WCLK.com.
