Shed Jackson

Director, Communications & Marketing

Shed Jackson curates multimedia collaterals + engagement activities that drive data acquisition as well as integrated marketing communications, stimulating [target] market expansion and conversion rates. In his role as the Communications and Marketing Director for National Public Radio (NPR) affiliate station, Jazz 91.9 WCLK, Shed oversees branding, positioning, multimedia marketing as well as community engagement initiatives.

Due in part to Shed’s marketing curation, the radio station reached its highest ratings ever - in its 45 year history - with a weekly listenership of 222,000. With advanced competency in brand management, market segmentation, multimedia campaigns and digital content delivery. He has worked in communications and marketing roles at a public relations agency for several Fortune 500 companies; and, as a consultant for major publishing houses and education agencies. Shed is an expert multimedia communicator, image curator, a motivating leader and effective project manager.

Shed authored an equitable education resource guide - the first of its kind - to assist teachers about the impact and significance of multicultural education.

Shed received a Certificate of Congressional Recognition for outstanding and invaluable service to the community. He volunteers his time and has served in advisory roles for a number of nonprofit organizations like: Fulton County Healthy Heart Coalition, How Big Is Your Dream?! Foundation and Piedmont Healthcare. Shed received the coveted GABBY Award from Georgia Association of Broadcasters. He was recognized as 40 Under 40: Georgia Best & Brightest by Georgia Trend; featured in the Young Executive's Issue of Atlanta Tribune; is an Atlanta Regional Commission Arts Leaders of Metro Atlanta; and a member of The National Academy of Recording Arts & Sciences - Atlanta Chapter (GRAMMY).

Shed is a Higher Education Leadership doctoral student at East Tennessee State University. He earned an MBA and completed Master of Arts degree studies in teaching science education at Clark Atlanta University. Shed earned a Bachelor of Science degree in biology with a minor in chemistry from the University of Alabama at Birmingham.
