CAU Now Features HBCU Cares, NAMI Walk

CAU Now on Jazz 91.9 tells the news happening on the campus of one of America's greatest HBCUs. The show airs Saturday morning at 8:30am. Our program this time out features the HBCU Cares initiative, as we talk with Dr. Leonissa Johnson, Ph.D., NCC, Assistant Professor & Director, HBCU Center for Excellence in Behavioral Health/ HBCU C.A.R.E.S., Department of Counselor Education.

We'll also talk about the upcoming National Alliance For Mental Illness/NAMI Walks Georgia, taking place on Saturday, October 5 beginning at Panther Stadium on the Clark Atlanta University Campus. Our guests include the NAMI Walk-Garrett Lee Smith Ambassador Enchante Franklin, a doctoral student in the Whitney M. Young, Jr., School of Social work. She'll be joined by Kim Jones, Executive Director, National Alliance on Mental Illness (NAMI) Georgia. Finally we'll talk with CAU Undergraduate President Levon Campbell, who talks about mental health resources for students on campus, and why it's ok to ask for help.
