Join Jazz 91.9 WCLK this weekend for The Atlanta Jazz Festival's Neighborhood Jazz Series. The free outdoor concerts will take place at various "family friendly" parks and features some of city's biggest and brightest jazz vocalists and instrumentalists. There will also be appearances from Atlanta council members and other public servants.
The series kicks off on Saturday May 11 from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. at Washington Park near the historic AUC Center and includes performances by UK's Queen of Jazz/Soul Julie Dexter and Groove Centric. Midday Jazz personality Rivablue will serve as the evening's host.
The music continues on Sunday, May 12 (Mother's Day) from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. at Grant Park with a performances from Jacob Deaton Trio and Mabu's Ark Band. Jazz It Up's Paula Gwynn Grant will serve as the evening's host.
