Every note created and played was part of a relentless search for truth - moments, even seconds that could only come from Walter Theodore Rollins, the man the world came to know and love as “Sonny Rollins,” the towering saxophone colossus! Although Sonny now belongs to the ages, we celebrate and cherish the music that brought him to us Jazz - America’s classical music! His life was not only well lived, but deeply earned through dedication, discipline, honesty, failings and love.
The global impact of Sonny Rollins’ music cannot fully be measured in words.For those willing to truly listen, his music offered reflection, inspiration, healing, and an indelible mark on the soul of humanity.
