The Atlanta Business League host their 44th Annual CEO Appreciation Luncheon on May 16th at 11:30AM at the Hyatt Regency Hotel in downtown Atlanta.

The Atlanta Business League hosts an annual CEO appreciation luncheon and this year marks the 44th year of honoring and bringing CEOs to the table. This event is even more significant as, throughout this year, the organization is celebrating its 90th anniversary. This is one of the few events where attendees can walk up to CEOs from the business community and speak with them or asks a few questions.

The co-chairs of this year’s event are Tai Roberson from the Wells Fargo Foundation and Tad Hutcheson from Delta Air Lines. They share their thoughts about this year’s event and why their corporations support the Atlanta Business League.

I speak with Roberson first about her organization's membership and work with the Atlanta Business League. She explains that the goals of the Atlanta Business League and the Wells Fargo Foundation are the same. They both support the growth, and development of small businesses.

Roberson shares that it was an honor to co-chair the CEO Appreciation Luncheon. She speaks about the committee and staff at the Atlanta Business League coming together to make the event compelling every year. Roberson shares with us the names of the 2023 honorees.

  • Carol Tome - CEO of UPS
  • David Tann - CEO and Founder of the Tantrum Agency
  • Lakeysha Hallmon - CEO and Founder of The Village Market
  • John Hope Byrant - CEO and Founder of Operation Hope, Inc.
  • Albert Edwards - CEO and Founder of Corporate Environment Risk Management

I also speak with co-chair Tad Hutcheson from Delta Air Lines about their membership with the Atlanta Business League. He shares that his organization never wants to just “write a check”. They always get involved with the organizations they sponsor.

Hutcheson goes on the say that the Atlanta Business League has a longstanding reputation for excellent programs to support business owners. I asked him about working with the committee and the selection of honorees. Hutcheson speaks to the vetting, unique stories, and quality of the honorees. He believes that everyone should try to attend this luncheon. Small and large business owners and those who are thinking about starting a business. Hutcheson says that the information available will help anyone thinking about business.

Volunteers are still needed for this event. If you or your group is interested in volunteering, please call the Atlanta Business League at 404-584-8126.
