The A Lady Named Pearl Foundation was founded in 2014 by Clark Atlanta University School of Business alum Linda Pearl Fils-Aime This former Ebony Fashion Fair model has led classes on Leadership and Entrepreneurship at the CAU School of Business. The mission of her foundation is to shape the confidence of girls and young women to become future leaders through modeling, leadership, and entrepreneurship training. Today A Lady Named Pearl joins us to speak about her foundation and their ongoing mission.

I asked Fils-Aime how she came to join the illustrious group of Ebony Fashion Fair models. She speaks about attending modeling school at 15 years old and that she was a teen with confidence and self-esteem challenges. She speaks about how that experience provided her with a way to present herself.

The upcoming Leadership Expo taking place on August 19th at the Studio House, will host young girls and women. After her modeling career ended, Fils-Aime graduated from Clark Atlanta University School of Business with an MBA. She has taught courses on Entrepreneurship and Leadership, and these topics are part of the upcoming event.
