The Urban League of Metro Atlanta is hosting its Super Saturday Homebuying Workshop this Saturday, Nov. 18th, beginning at 9:30AM on the Clark Atlanta University Campus. This event is for individuals and families looking to purchase a home to pass along a generational legacy. The Super Saturday House Ownership event will include financial workshops and more. Johnette Brown from the Urban League of Greater Atlanta shares information with us about this event.
Brown shares that industry professionals will be on hand, and they will discuss the “elephant” in the room: current high-interest rates. This event will educate participants about the benefits of home ownership.
I asked Brown who should attend, and she explained that you can prepare for home ownership if your credit score is 520 or 820. Everyone has work to do to get ready for home ownership. Brown explains that HUD-approved counselors will be on hand to speak with individuals directly about their specific needs.
