The Links, Incorporated Metro-Atlanta cluster will host their 3rd Annual Black Family Wellness Expo on Saturday, March 15th at Morehouse School of Medicine

The Links, Incorporated is an international, not-for-profit corporation, established in 1946. The membership consists of more than 17,000 professional women of African descent in 299 chapters located in 41 states, the District of Columbia, the Commonwealth of the Bahamas, and the United Kingdom. It is one of the nation’s oldest and largest volunteer service organizations of extraordinary women who are committed to enriching, sustaining and ensuring the culture and economic survival of African Americans and other persons of African ancestry.

A cluster of Metro Atlanta Chapters (Atlanta, Dogwood City, Magnolia, Azalea City, Buckhead/Cascade and Camellia Rose) is hosting a Black Family Wellness Expo on Saturday, March 15th at the Morehouse School of Medicine from 12PM - 4PM at the National Center for Primary Care Building at 720 Westview Drive SW. The event is for families and includes health screenings, information and resources for all ages from infants to seniors. We were joined on The Local Take by longtime Atlanta Broadcaster Lisa Rayam, who is also the Chapter President-Elect of the Magnolia Georgia Chapter of The Links, Incorporated. She discussed the organization and the Black Family Wellness Expo, which is an event also happening around the country in other cities that include Links chapters. Local Take Producer Rob Maynard stood in for me for this interview.
