Tenisio Seanima, master gardener and horticulturist, firmly believes that “whoever controls your food, controls you.” I asked how and why he took on the quest regarding cancer. He explains that his role as a farmer is to use his knowledge with the understanding that food is medicine and medicine is food, to educate our community. On April 12th, beginning at 4PM at the Artsxchange, Seanima will host a conference on Eradicating Cancer.
Seanima, through networking, met Heru Ofori Atta, whose work uses bitters, specifically olive leaf extract. By extracting the medicinal properties from the olive leaf and creating a tincture that can be ingested. Heru Ofori Atta created a protocol that includes a ketogenic diet along with the bitters tincture.
Seanima hopes that the conference will attract attention from the allopathic medicine community, also known as conventional, orthodox, or Western medicine. At Morehouse School of Medicine, they are researching unorthodox methods, including a documentary produced with the assistance of the Andrew Young Foundation called Strong Medicine: The Secret Power of African Healing Part 1 and Part 2).
I asked Seanima how we got to a place where the food we eat is becoming harmful to our bodies. He speaks about SUGAR and SALT, which drove chattel slavery. He explains that we need to ask “what is food” because we’re often consuming empty calories and are still fatigues.
Seanima wants everyone to come to the conference, most people have friends and family members who have been ravaged by a cancer diagnosis. He wants to empower the community.
Sugar is a hard ingredient to give up. Seanima speaks about the mental component being addressed at the conference as well. There will be a mental health professional, Dr. Dana Dennard, to assist with detoxification from sugar.
