Entrepreneur Ross Dixon and his family spent time in Mexico during the pandemic, which eventually led to a relocation to Quintana Roo and the city of Mérida.
I asked Dixon to tell us how he decided to move to Mexico and Mérida for his home. He spoke about the decision being “rooted in purpose.” Dixon says he needed to make a shift both mentally and spiritually. He wanted to slow down for the long term.
When I asked Dixon what his family thought of his move, he said they called him “crazy,” especially since the move included moving his children to another country. He mentioned that they all had to make adjustments, but the move has been worth it for his family.
Dixon shared that if you are considering a move that you should be clear on your “why.” He again spoke about coming with a purpose. He goes on to explain that if you move to Mexico, you will be in a “Brown” culture, which will be a new experience. He emphasizes that you cannot come and attempt to recreate an American life.
Ross returns to the USA for his business. He is sponsoring an AI & The Future of Entrepreneurship conference in Atlanta on June 7th. Additionally, he officially released his book “Grind to Greatness” in Spanish this year.
