The Atlanta Business League presents the 18th Annual Congress on the State of Black Business on June 24th at Atlanta Metropolitan State College

The Atlanta Business League’s Congress on the State of Black Business provides a crucial platform for networking to empower, grow, and sustain Black businesses. The 2025 event is important as the national conversation continues to devolve. Tariffs, attacks on DEI, and civil rights are challenging to all business leaders, from mom-and-pop operations to corporate entities. Al Edwards, the CEO of CERM and chair of the ABL Congress on Black Business, joins us this morning to speak about the event taking place on June 24th at Atlanta Metropolitan State College from 8:30AM - 3:00PM.

I asked Edwards to tell us about ABL’s Congress on the State of Black Business, please let us know about his annual event. He shares that is the 18th Annual Congress which brings together business leaders to share information about the intersection of business and politics. The ABL not only educates about local and state legislation that may impact business but also provides solutions and resources to navigate the changing landscape. Edwards speaks to the resilience of our business community. He also speaks about the many businesses in Atlanta that have become institutions.

Edwards shares some of the highlights at this year’s event including a few of panelist that will address the participants. For more information go to www.atlantabusinessleague.org
