NEXT Atlanta, in collaboration with the National Black Arts Festival, presents the Thriving Together Atlanta Mobile Art Experience is a traveling exhibition that brings the stories and themes of Thriving Together Atlanta directly into our neighborhoods—providing communities with the opportunity to engage with a unique art space right outside our doors. The event is taking place on Saturday, February 28th, from 4PM - 7PM at the ONE Contemporary Gallery on the Edgewood Art Walk, 395 Edgewood Ave SE #6, Atlanta, GA 30312. The exhibition celebrates public art for public health.

Just as nature and walking have a positive impact on our health, experiencing art in all forms also has a positive impact on our health.

This mobile experience curated by artist Faith Carmichael will showcase local artists, including vocalist Bria Ania, pianist Kenny Banks, Jr., and poet Jon Goode.

Carmichael speaks to Thriving Together Atlanta being a national initiative to promote the positive impact of public art on health inequities. She also speaks about Atlanta’s home grown artists sharing their work with their community right in our neighborhood.

Sharing art that is representative of the community is also acknowledgement. Carmichael speaks about seeing yourself reflected in art way of feeling seen.

You can register to attend or join the fun February 28th at the ONE Contemporary Gallery on the Edgewood Art Walk.
