The Sickle Cell Consortium brings its 10th Annual Leadership Summit and United Action Forum to the Westin Atlanta Airport from April 7th - 12th. Over 400 organizations will convene in Atlanta for a week of collaboration, strategy, and action. This diverse group of stakeholders includes patients, caregivers, community organizations, researchers, and policymakers, all with one focus.
Dr. Bailey explains that this is the 10th Annual Leadership Conference, and the United Action Forum will take place afterwards. While both events include the voices from diverse stakeholders, the Leadership conference will have more patients and caregivers, while the United Action Forum will have more policymakers and healthcare providers. She speaks to the events, not only discussing challenges, but also providing solutions with concrete goals and steps.
These events allow the Sickle Cell Consortium to speak with separate groups and meet their needs, from mental health support for men to improving social media posts.
