The annual Father’s Day Family Food Fest is back! If you haven’t heard about it yet, please spread the word!! This event, presented annually by Atlanta Culinary Charities, founded by the late, great, dynamic Diane Larche, returns this year to a new location for Father’s Day, June 21st, at the John H. Harland Boys & Girls Club at 434 Peeples Street in the Historic West End.
I asked Chef Ashford what it feels like to revive this annual event that has entertained us for almost twenty years. He shares that it has been amazing to bring back the event, and the team is excited about the new plan. The event is hosted by Atlanta Culinary Charities that introduces young people to the profession of being a chef. They also learn about the importance of the family meal.
Due to ongoing construction downtown near the old venue, the event has moved to the Historic West End at the John H. Harland Boys and Girls Club. This innovation center will house the event. Tastings, Health Screenings, and a Kids Activity area will all be available in the new space. Music and entertainment are always a part of the festivities, and this year will be no different.
Ashford explained that many of their partners are back to support this family event. Join the Family Food Fest on Father’s Day, June 21st, from 3pm - 6pm. For more information to
