Election Day

Election day, the last day to vote in this historic election is Tuesday, November 3, and we'll be able to look at the results instead of the polls. I asked Tharon Johnson, a Democratic Party political analyst from the Georgia Gang, to join us this morning on WCLK's The Local Take(Saturdays 8am) to talk about election day and election night results.

Georgia and Atlanta will hold a General Primary Election, Non-Partisan General Election, and a Special Runoff Election on Tuesday, May 24. The deadline to register to vote in the May 24 election is Tuesday, April 26th.  Saturday morning at 7am on The Local Take on WCLK  I'll talk with Karlise Grier from The League of Women Voters Atlanta-Fulton County. They are celebrating 95 years in support of informed voting.  When women were granted the right to vote, the League of Women Voters was formed to educate women about their rights and inform them about candidates and legislation. Today The League of Women Voters is still very active, providing registration opportunities and election guides to all people.
