Rob Zinn has been making albums since 2016 with his debut project Yesterday Again and followed it up with Walk The Walk in 2018. He’s had a slew of single releases and even teamed up with Johnny Britt and Walter Beasley to form BBZ for the Brass Attack BBZ release Brassetude. Each time out Rob demonstrates his ability to score chart success, the latest was 2020’s single Take That.
2022 is a new year and brings a new collaboration as Rob teams up with chart topping Ragan Whiteside and her producing team (Dennis Johnson & Bob Baldwin) for a fresh sound and new label association. Robb is the first release on Whiteside’s Randis Music and well, as the title says they are ready to Push It Forward. This upbeat, danceable track show-cases the melodic improvisational skills of both musicians with a clever call and response segment between Rob’s soaring trumpet and Ragan’s cool flute. This programmer believes listeners will be pleasantly surprised when they push play on their listening devices.
