Carol Albert: Paradigm Shift

Carol Albert is one of the many Atlanta based artists who has universal appeal. She consistently delivers music that’s pleasing to the ears while transporting you to some serene place. Her latest offering Paradigm Shift still has that “Carol feel” but it really is a shift. I wasn’t expecting to groove to a Carol Albert song! When I first received and listened to the song in my office I was like “it’s okay, but since it’s Carol let’s see how it sounds on air”. Programming is not always about what you play but how you play it. Placing Carol’s latest single in the right slot gave it a feel that I didn’t get listening in my office. Some songs aren’t instant listens, some have to grow on you and others have to be placed properly in the rotation. Well Paradigm Shift checks all three boxes and now it’s now one of my favorite new songs. Of course, having a track record of chart-topping songs did move her to the head of the line but when an artist delivers he or she earns that right. So, if you need a Paradigm Shift tune in to hear it on Jazz at Sundown with Debb Moore Mon-Friday 7pm-10pm on Atlanta’s Jazz Station.

He also added Broadcast Hall of Famer Rick Joyner to the weekday line up as host of Serenade to the The City. He also programs WCLK's HD2 channel which offers Mainstream Jazz 24/7, available at wclk.com
