Dottie Peoples talks career & caregiving with 'In My Own Words' (VIDEO)

Dottie People's performing her latest single, "It's Not Goodbye (But See You Later)."

Three-time Grammy nominated vocalist and Gospel music icon Dottie People is featured in tonight's newest edition of AARP Atlanta's In My Own Words.

The "On Time God" singer, actress and philanthropist opens up about juggling her in-demand musical career while taking care of her father with AARP Georgia State Director and host, Debra Tyler-Horton. Like many of us, the Atlanta-based songbird faced some tough times during 2020's pandemic but was able to find solace through her music. People's will perform one of those songs, "It's Not Goodbye (But See You Later)" during the show. It's dedicated in memory of her sister and for anyone who's lost a loved one this year.
