Ray Cornelius talks all things FASHION with Sustainable Fashion Experts

According to the UN Environment Programme (UNEP), the "Fast Fashion" industry is the second biggest consumer of water and is responsible for about 10% of global carbon emissions – more than all international flights and maritime shipping combined.

That was just one of the many facts discussed during this week's edition of UPFRONT/Inside Atlanta's Entertainment Industry.

Host Ray Cornelius spoke to Tanjuria Willis, founder of Sustainable Fashion Week Atlanta about those disturbing statistics along with a who's who panel of German fashion experts:

  • Uwe Westphal, the author of "Fashion Metropolis Berlin: The Story of the Rise and Destruction of the Jewish Fashion Industry."
  • Marte Henschel, Professor for Sustainable Fashion at BSP Berlin/ Germany, Co-CEO @ VORN - The Berlin Fashion Hub, Co-Founder at Sqetch, Berlin/ Germany.
  • Philippe Pourhashemi, Fashion Journalist, Coach and co-curator of "Why Fashion Needs to Empower" exhibition.
  • Axl Jansen, Berlin Fashion Photographer and co-curator of "Why Fashion Needs to Empower” exhibition.

Listen to the full UPFRONT conversation as they also discuss fashion post COVID-19, AI, the relevance of "Fashion Weeks" and the sincere need for more diversity, equity and inclusion on and off the runway.
