Jazz 91.9 WCLK, the NPR-affiliated radio station licensed to Clark Atlanta University, proudly announces a milestone celebration honoring Rodney E. Evans, Sr., Gospel Program Director and host of Joy in the Morning, for his 40 years of outstanding service in Atlanta radio.
To commemorate his extraordinary journey in gospel broadcasting, WCLK will host a special anniversary celebration featuring an inspiring lineup of gospel choirs, soloists, and groups from across the country. The event will take place on Sunday, June 22, 2025, at 4:00 PM EST, at Martin Street Church of God in Atlanta. The celebration is open to the public and will be led by the dynamic Bishop Juandolyn Stokes, alongside other WCLK alumni.
A graduate of the Columbia School of Broadcasting and an FCC-licensed broadcaster, Rodney E. Evans, Sr. has spent four decades as a trusted voice of hope, faith, and encouragement. Through his work at WCLK and his deep commitment to the Atlanta community, he has helped elevate gospel music and inspire generations of listeners.
