UPFRONT featuring Kevan Hall, Dr. Nsenga Burton and the cast of 'LITTLE' (AUDIO)

Ray Cornelius with Issa Rae of "Little"

Check out today’s edition of UPFRONT Inside Atlanta’s Entertainment Industry. It features my red carpet interviews from this week’s Atlanta premiere of Little. I got a chance to chat with film’s star Marsai Martin along with Issa Rae and the film’s director Tina Gordon and producer Will Packer.

Iconic fashion designer Kevan Hall discussed his Black Design Collective honoring Oscar winning costumer designer Ruth E. Carter. She has designed looks for a number of classic films such as School Daze, Mo Betta Blues, Malcolm X, What’s Love Got To Do With It, Sparkle, Selma and most recently Black Panther

Closing out the show is my conversation with pop culture critic Dr. Nsenga Burton. She stopped by to chat about the life and death of hip hop star Nipsey Hussle, who was gunned down last week in front of his business in Los Angeles, CA. She will discussing his impact beyond the lyrics and much more.

Ray Cornelius is one of Atlanta’s newest entertainment writers and media personalities. His arts and entertainment website, www.raycornelius.com spotlights the latest in “positive” African-American celebrity news and was established in 2012. Since that time Cornelius has covered a myriad of red carpet premieres, award shows and Atlanta-based films including Tyler Perry’s Temptation, The BronzeLens Film Festival, The Trumpet Awards, and The Steve Harvey’s Neighborhood Awards just to name a few. He has also interviewed a who’s who list of today’s top singers, actors and reality stars. With nearly 20 years of media experience, Cornelius has also worked as an associate producer for the Emmy-winning public affairs program, ATL Insider and with such award shows as The Soul Train Awards, The Trumpet Awards and BET Hip-Hop Awards.
