#UPFRONT featuring Wendy Williams, Jamal Ahmad and the cast of 'One Night In Miami'

Check out this week's star-filled edition of UPFRONT Inside the Entertainment Industry. It features the 'Queen of All Media' Wendy Williams, director Darren Grant, Jamal Ahmad and the men of "One Night In Miami," Eli Goree, Leslie Odom, Jr., Aldis Hodge and Kingsley Ben-Adir.

Jazz music has taken center stage in a number of recent film projects like "https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=643d99cVtZw">Sylvie's Love" and "https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xOsLIiBStEs">Soul" and WCLK's Jamal Ahmad is here to chat about its resurgence in cinema and popular culture. He also talks about the upcoming Lee Daniels film "https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=USi-ppCfxEA">The United States Vs. Billie Holiday" and why Lady Day's riveting song "https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-DGY9HvChXk">Strange Fruit" is still revelant today.

Wendy Williams and director Darren Grant are here to discuss their new Lifetime biopic "https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2CDfTJ4Utc8">Wendy Williams: The Movie," which airs tonight at 8 p.m. The two-hour film features Ciera Payton (The Oval) as Wendy alongside Morocco Omari (P-Valley) as her ex-husband and manager, Kevin Hunter. The film also provides a revealing look at Wendy's journey from her scrappy upstart days in urban radio to the success of her own syndicated talk show. Immediately following the movie is her documentary, "https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-DGY9HvChXk">Wendy Williams: What a Mess!"

Closing out the show are my one-on-one interviews with the men of "https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=K8vf_Cmh9nY">One Night In Miami," Aldis Hodge, Leslie Odom, Jr., Eli Goree and Kingsley Ben-Adir. The film is based on the award-winning Kemp Powers play of the same name and gives a fictional account inspired by the historical night that Sam Cooke, Malcolm X, Jim Brown and Cassius Clay (Muhammad Ali) spent together. It also looks at the struggle these men faced and the vital role they each played in the civil rights movement of the 1960s. The film is directed by Oscar winning-actress Regina King.
