The Metropolitan Atlanta Community Band (MACB) celebrates its 25th anniversary with a free concert Sunday, May 7, 2023, 5:00 pm, at Southwest Arts Center, 915 New Hope Road, in South Fulton. FOX 5 news reporter Aungelique Proctor will emcee the event.

The 60-piece concert band will play a variety of music, including marches, classical, jazz, and spirituals. The event will also honor MACB founder and icon of Atlanta music education Dr. Alfred D. Wyatt, Sr. Retired Army band commander and MACB clarinetist Dr. Dyann Ryans will be the guest conductor. Attendees can enjoy light refreshments and meet the musicians after the concert.

MACB, under the batons of renowned Atlanta music educators Curtis Byrdsong, Vanable Moody, and Allen Ward, performs at venues large and small mostly around Atlanta.
