The Local Take Talks About World AIDS Day with Russell Patterson From AID Atlanta

I talked on The Local Take on WCLK with Russell Patterson from AID Atlanta about the upcoming WORLD AIDS DAY Conference on December 1.

I ask Russell to share the good news regarding HIV/AIDS.  He speaks to us about PrEP a product that you can use to decrease your exposure HIV and PEP a product that is used after unintended exposure to HIV to prevent infection.

Mr. Patterson continues to assure us that a diagnosis of HIV is no longer a death sentence and that patients most often have undetectable "viral loads" with the correct dosage and type of medicine. When the virus is undetectable this means that you cannot pass the disease to partners or unborn babies.

AID Atlanta is hosting a conference on WORLD AIDS DAY, December 1st at The Temple - 1589 Peachtree Street, NE - Atlanta 30309.  The conference starts at 10am and ends at 3pm. Breakfast and lunch are included.
