Saturday, March 31 on The Local Take on Jazz 91.9 WCLK, I spoke with Sharon Ricks, Regional Health Administrator with the Department of Health and Human Services. Their upcoming conference Stay Strong Stay Connected supports families impacted by incarceration.
The U.S. Department of Health and Human Services, will host a gathering on April 13, 2018, from 8:30 a.m. – 4:00 p.m., for hundreds of families impacted by incarceration at Morehouse School of Medicine, 720 Westview Drive, SW, Atlanta, GA 30310.
Stay Connected. Stay Strong! will offer a full-day of empowering families with the strategies, tools, and resources needed to Stay Connected and to Stay Strong!
I ask Ms. Ricks why this falls under public health and she explains that families staying connected leads to better health results.
