The Local Take COVID19 Stories - Brianna Nave CAU 2020 Graduate

brianna_nave.jpg

This week on The Local Take as part of our ongoing series on COVID-19 Stories we speak with Brianna Nave, a 2020 Clark Atlanta University graduate. Brianna shares with us that she is from Indianapolis. In high school she participated in a Spanish emergence program. She was initially interested in Spelman, but another student told her about about Clark Atlanta University. At a college fair she received her acceptance, and a UNCF Scholarship.

While at CAU she joined the softball team and found her "tribe."

Although she missed the pomp and circumstance of an offical graudation, her parents created a ceremony that included a speaker, Dr. Tamika Knox, a graduate of Spelman College, who provided a motivational  address.

Brianna shares with us that her fellowship in Washington, DC, ended due to the pandemic.  She has been accepted into graduate school to pursue an international education degree, and she feels her future is bright despite the pandemic.
