Trumpeter Jeremy Pelt has blown through sets and sides in Jazz since his days with the Mingus Big Band. He's played horn on recordings from a diverse group of collaborators that stretch from Ravi Coltrane and Cedar Walton to the Skatalites and Nancy Wilson. On his new High Note Records release #JIVECULTURE, Pelt finally plays along with one of Jazz music's greatest bass players, Ron Carter. #JIVECULTURE features original Pelt compositions, standards and even one of Ron Carter's original compositions, Einbahnstrasse. The record features a straight ahead quartet that also includes Danny Grissett on keys and Billy Drummond on drums.
