Saxophonist Darren Rahn's collaborations with the late great Wayman Tisdale made for great music, and his work as an artist, producer and engineer have yielded multiple chart-topping songs and Grammy nominations. His latest release is the single Moxified(Side 2 Music), which you can hear currently on Atlanta's Jazz Station 91.9 WCLK. Rahn might sound smooth and contemporary yet his recording style and techniques on this record are old school, using live drums and a Hammond B-3 and acoustic piano instead of drum machines and synths.
