Jazz 91.9 WCLK Announcer Celebrates 35 Years On Air

Jazz 91.9 WCLK Announcer, Rodney Evans, host of Joy in the Morning celebrates 35 years of broadcasting Gospel music this year.  Rodney began his career in broadcasting as a volunteer at WCLK in a production assistant role.  Rodney has worn many hats at WCLK over the years ranging from program coordinator to membership director.  Today, he has become a household name as an on air personality of the popular Gospel programming on WCLK.  His soothing voice can be heard on 91.9, Monday through Friday from 4:00 a.m. until 6:00 a.m. and on Sundays from 6:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m.

“Jazz 91.9 WCLK fostered my passion for sharing Gospel music,” says Rodney Evans.  “That love for sharing Gospel music with so many listeners during Joy in the Morning fuels my ministry.”  “Rodney Evans is a pacemaker in the Gospel music community,” says Wendy Williams, general manager, Jazz 91.9 WCLK.  “With numerous awards and recognitions throughout the years, Rodney’s contributions to WCLK are extraordinary,” adds Williams.
