Saturday morning at 8am on WCLK's The Local Take I will talk with Congressman David Scott about his 16th Annual Job Fair taking place on Friday, April 12 from 10am - 3pm at the Georgia International Convention Center in College Park.
Congressman Scott shares that over 110 employers will be hiring for over 9,000 positions. He speaks about representatives from the Veteran's Administration being on hand to assist with special employment and health opportunities for veterans in our community.
HomeSafe Georgia is another organization that will be on hand for homeowners in our community who are threatened with foreclosure due to unemployment or under-employment. He shares that our community was one of the hardest hit in the mortgage crisis.
There will also be resources for young people looking to attend college.
