Saturday morning at 8:00 a.m. on WCLK's The Local Take I talked with Chef Kevin Ashford about the 2019 Father's Day Celebration and Family Food Festtaking place on Sunday, June 16th at the Georgia Railroad Freight Depot.
A feature of this year's event is complimentary dental screenings for children under the age of 12. There will be other health screenings available along with information on healthy food choices from celebrity chefs and dads!
James Beard Foundation scholar Chef Kenyatta Ashford will also join the festivities with a few southern food samples. Additionally, Fulton County Sheriff Ted Jackson will be on hand with chefs from their inmate training program.
Members of local fraternity are also competing in this year's festival. There will be lots of food, fun and information served at the annual event to honor the men in our community.
