The Atlanta Business League celebrates 85 years of achievement at their 85th Annual Meeting, taking place Thursday November 29 at 6pm at The Georgia Aquarium. This week on The Local Take on WCLK I speak with Maceo Brown, owner of System 5 Electronics, Inc., about his 29 year career as an entrepreneur and his upcoming induction into the Atlanta Business League's Hall of Fame.
Maceo Brown speaks about following in his brother's footsteps after high school by taking an electrician's course at the IBEW. He speaks to the number of high school students with bright and creative minds who may not be going on to college. Those are the children he works with at Maceo's Kids and that is the type of child he was growing up in southwest Atlanta.
He shares that learning a trade is one of the best ways to become an entrepreneur. I ask Maceo Brown about his mentor Nathaniel Bronner, a pioneer in Atlanta's business community.
Maceo Brown will be inducted into the Atlanta Business League's Hall of Fame on Thursday, November 29th at 6pm at the Georgia Aquarium.
