Dr. Lanze Thompson discusses 'Black Wounds' and the role played by HBCUs to help heal them

CAU Now on WCLK's March edition features a conversation with Dr. Lanze Thompson. Dr. Thompson is Clark Atlanta University Executive Vice President, CFO, and Chief Strategy Officer. He is also a published author and poet. His new book is called Black Wounds; a provocative and challenging exploration into the many current toxic issues facing Black America. It features both factual research and poems, compiled by Thompson to provide a provocative and challenging exploration into the many toxic issues currently facing Black America. Dr. Thompson also talks about the role HBCUs play in counteracting these forces. He also talks about this in the context of Clark Atlanta University.

CAU Now is heard on the fourth Saturday of each month at 8:30am on Jazz 91.9 WCLK. WCLK is a proud licensee of Clark Atlanta University.

Rob Maynard is WCLK Operations Manager and produces various public affairs programs for WCLK, including The Local Take With Kiplyn Primus, CAU Now, and Drive Time With Dr. Douglass. He also hosts Mainstream and Modern on Sunday nights 8pm-11pm. He manages trafficking and continuity for the station, works on mic and as a producer during WCLK on air membership campaigns and is the local administrator for wclk.com and the WCLK app. He listened to WCLK for many years before joining the staff in 2011. Rob attended the University of Georgia and is a graduate of Georgia State University. He has many years experience in Atlanta and regional radio stations and networks both public and commercial.
