Ledisi's veneration is expressed in her latest offering with this heartfelt album set to be released October 3. The album is produced by Bassist and Bandleader Christian McBride. Dinah Washington was known for her pitch, diction and emotional delivery. Ledisi's soulful, dynamic range with jazz-infused runs and heartfelt storytelling echoes Washington's glamour and sensuality on tracks like her cover of This Bitter Earth. For Dinah is composed of eight classic songs with hits like What A Difference A Day Makes. Gregory Porter is featured guest on the duet You Got What It Takes, which was originally performed by Dinah with Brook Benton. Ledisi refers to Dinah Washington as her hero, who paved the way for the future generation.
