WCLK’s The Local Take(Saturdays 8am) is talking about our sister school, the Interdenominational Theological Center (ITC), with Christina Alexis, their Vice President of Institutional Advancement. Part of the Atlanta University Center Campus, the Interdenominational Theological Center educates religious leaders for our community. President Matthew Wesley Williams will be installed as the 11th President to serve the ITC over three days next week beginning on Wednesday, November 17th.
Alexis shares with us that the ITC was founded in 1958 as a beacon of hope. The institution focuses on educating “prophetic problem solvers.”
She shares that the installation is taking place over three days allowing different audiences to participate. They will look at the legacy and future of the ITC. The official installation takes place on Friday, November 19th.
I ask Alexis about “ITC 2.0”, a phrase that the new president uses. She explains that everyone agrees that ITC 2.0 means moving forward strategically, a process President Matthew Wesley Williams started in 2020 when he served as interim president.
