Programming on Jazz 91.9 WCLK is made possible in part by the 24th Annual Thomas A. Dorsey Birthplace Festival, which takes place Friday June 22 and Saturday June 23 at The Mill Ampitheatre in Downtown Villa Rica. Friday's events feature Jazz music by 4 Korners and the Kerwin L. Felix Band. On Saturday, June 23 at 3:00 p.m. at Mount Prospect Baptist Church, the Canton Spirituals and the Thomas A. Dorsey Choir will perform. This is the church where gospel music legend Dorsey learned to play the piano. Then at 6:30 p.m. back at The Mill Ampitheatre you can hear Blues with Zakiya Hooker and Bluz 4 U, and Beverly Guitar Watkins. This event includes fireworks after dark. Admission is free.
