Filmmaker Chyna Robinson stopped by to chat about her award-winning indie film No Ordinary Love. It is appearing at this year's BLFF and is up for "Best Feature" at the BronzeLens Awards. No Ordinary Love follows the lives of two female protagonists who plot a potentially deadly escape from their manipulative husbands. Chyna also opens up about the highs and lows of being a black, female creative in Hollywood. Closing out the show is award-winning dancer and choreographer Juel D. Lane. His film Touch and Agree will be shown at BLFF as part of the Short Films category. Touch and Agree is centered around the unconditional love between two black men and explores themes of sexuality and identity. The piece includes classic music from R&B crooner Sam Cooke and was part of Ailey II's national tour in 2017.
