On Tuesday, July 29th at 6:00pm the Toni Morrison Society and the Auburn Avenue Research Library will host a book conversation with Dana Williams and acclaimed novelist Tayari Jones. Dana Williams has just completed a book, Toni at Random, that details Morrison's career as a senior editor at Random House for 20 years and one of the only Black editors in this senior position. Morrison was the in-house editor for Angela Davis, Toni Cade Bambara, Muhammad Ali, Gayle Jones and many others. We know Toni Morrison as an acclaimed novelist, this discussion will chronicle her impressive career as an editor. This should be an exciting and insightful conversation that you will not want to miss with two writers who are champions of Morrison's work.
