The Center for Cancer Research and Therapeutic Development at Clark Atlanta University will host the 12th National Symposium on Prostate Cancer beginning Sunday, September 16 through Wednesday, September 19 at the Thomas W. Cole, Jr. Research Centere for Science and Technology, located on the CAU Campus.
The symposium will feature plenary sessions, presentations, and the Dr. Sidney A. McNairy, Jr. Student Symposium. This event will include speeches by world-renowned scholars and is a highlight event from CCRTD, whose mission is to help elimnate health disparities in minority communities, train and prepare the next generation of minority molecular biologists, and solve the genetic code of prostate cancer, which kills African American men in disproportionate numbers. More information about the National Symposium On Prostate Cancer can be found here.
CCRTD Director Dr. Shafiq Khan joined Rob Maynard for a special CAU Now-Lifting Every Voice Segment to talk about this year's symposium.
