The Local Take: Support Black Businesses At BLKQuest with Ngozi Ahanotu

This week on WCLK's The Local Take(Saturday mornings at eight), I reached out to tech entrepreneur Ngozi Ahanotu about her upcoming family event Blk Quest.  Blk Quest is a family-friendly scavenger hunt in Atlanta to find the city's best Black-owned businesses.  Ngozi Ahanotu explains that she always enjoyed scavenger hunts and thought this was a great way to promote her platform 360Blk.com in support of Black-Owned companies in Atlanta.

Ahanotu speaks about the BLK Quest scavenger hunt, sharing that participants follow the clues to find the businesses.  Some clues will lead to more clues. Some clues will lead to challenges.  Participants can win prizes along the way.  The grand prize team will win $1000.

Her background as a creator and journalist led her to the tech field. She explains that tech is not as complicated as many people think.  During the COVID19 Pandemic shutdown, she worked on 360BLK.com as a solution for people looking to engage with Black-owned businesses.

She speaks about working with the tech non-profit GOODIE Nation, the same group behind the app GOODR developed to end food waste.  She talks about being committed to her idea and staying the course to get it done.
