On Saturday, May 14th a Children's Book Festival takes place at the Central Library. There will be authors and activities from puppets to ballet.

This week I reached out to Claudia Strange, Public Relations Director with the Atlanta Fulton Public Library, about their upcoming Children Book Festival taking place on May 14th. The Book Festival will include authors, puppet workshops even a ballet class. Children of all ages are encouraged to attend. Strange says this is a chance to renew your child's love of reading.

Strange shares that the summer reading program will kick off on June 1st. She encourages readers to register early and pick up books to reach their summer reading goals.

Many people don't realize the variety of resources available through the library system. I ask Strange about the State Park parking passes that can be used by families to visit State parks around Georgia. She adds that they also offer free passes for the Zoo Atlanta and the Center for Puppetry Arts.

In addition to cultural activities, parents can check out laptops and hot spots. There are also digital offerings for parents to assist their children.
