The Atlanta Business League Celebrates Women Entrepreneurs at the 38th Annual Super Tuesday Conference

Atlanta Business League

The Atlanta Business League (ABL) is a WCLK business partner that is hosting the 38th Annual Super Tuesday Conference and the 25th Annual Women of Vision Breakfast on Tuesday, October 4th. The theme for this year’s event is One Great Day and Putting Together the Pieces. Leona Barr-Davenport is the CEO of the Atlanta Business League, which will celebrate its 90th anniversary in 2024.

I ask Barr-Davenport why it is important to have a conference that is dedicated to women in business. She speaks to the event's genesis, which came from conversations with women ABL members in 1984. Today's growth of women entrepreneurs and women in business makes the conference informative and timely.

The conference kicks off with the Women of Vision of Breakfast. Each year in support of the conference, the Atlanta Business League names the 100 Women of Influence, honoring women business owners and corporate movers and shakers.

I asked Barr-Davenport about some of the highlights from this year’s conference and she shares information about a few of the workshops. Some of this year’s conference activities will be shared virtually via the Atlanta Business League Facebook page. One highlight includes a free “headshot” from one of the conference sponsors. She also shares that Dr. Helene Gayle, president of Spelman College, will be inducted into the Atlanta Business League Women’s Hall of Fame.
