A listener reached out to The Local Take about Tawana Allen. She purchased a run-down home and turned it into a safe place for mothers and their children. Her non-profit Haven 4 Hope started in 2014. After not being able to find housing for mothers in need, she began buying houses for her clients to have a safe space to exhale.
