This weekend's edition of UPFRONT features music legend PEABO BRYSON!

The two-time Grammy Award winner singer stopped by the studios recently to chat about his new album, Stand For Love. The project's lead single, "Love Like Yours and Mine" has held the No. 3 position on Billboard's "R&B Adult Song" Chart for two weeks now and was produced by the iconic Jimmy Jam and Terry Lewis. Mr. Bryson also opens up about working with them, legendary songwriter Michael Masser, the state of R&B music and his new baby boy.

Check out the trailer for TV One’s award-winning #1 series UNSUNG. The new season premieres on Sunday, February 18 at 9 p.m. featuring R&B crooners Silk. The Atlanta based group shot to fame in the early 90s with such classic jams as “Freak Me,” “Girl U For Me” and “Meeting in My Bedroom.”

BET recently tweeted that the “hippest trip in America” aka “The Soul Train Awards” will be hosted by multi-award winning vocalist Erykah Badu. She’ll be returning for the third consecutive year as the “hostess with the mostest.”

 

Confirmed performers include Don Cornelius Living Legend Award honoree Toni Braxton, Lady of Soul honorees SWV as well as Tank, Kirk Franklin, Tamar Braxton and 112.

 

CONGRATS to music diva—DIANA ROSS! The Motown legend and Grammy-award winning singer, actress, fashion icon and philanthropist will receive this year’s coveted “American Music Award for Lifetime Achievement.”

 

Miss Ross will be recognized for her five-decades of outstanding artistic contributions to the entertainment industry and popular culture.  She attended the very first show in 1974 and has since gone on to win seven awards of her own and even served as host in 1986 and 1987.
