The Local Take Talks Breast Cancer Survivor Support with Anisa Palmer of I Will Survive
This week on The Local Take I speak with Anisa Palmer founder of I Will Survive an organization created when her mother passed from breast cancer at the age of 38. Ms. Palmer a veteran of the Iraq war, returned home and began assisting breast cancer patients with services that weren't being provided on a large scale.
Food, clothing, transportation and sometimes even rent maybe needed by women in our community fighting breast cancer. Ms. Palmer wanted to make those burdens easier so that the focus could be on health.
Palmer produces an annual fundraiser where Health Meet Fashion. This 8th Annual event is taking place on Sunday, April 28th from 6pm - 9pm at The Gathering Spot. There will be a fashion show, a chef prepared dinner, live entertainment and so much more.
