One of the wonders of Jazz music after a hundred years or so of recordings is that everything old is new again. Such is the case with the NEW Blue Note release from Art Blakey & The Jazz Messengers, Just Coolin'. This session was recorded in Spring of 1959 by the late great Rudy Van Gelder and features Drummer and Bandleader Blakey's classic group including Lee Morgan on trumpet, Hank Mobley on saxophone, Bobby Timmons on keys and Bassist Jymie Merritt.
