Mainstream and Modern branches out into live and local Jazz music as a part of this week's show. At 9pm we will feature the performance of The Music of Billie Holiday, as performed by the Jazz Education Project at the historic Earl and Rachel Smith Strand Theatre on the Marietta Square, as part of their Jazz At The Strand Series. The Jazz Education Project for this performance includes leader Justin Varnes on drums, Tyrone Jackson on piano, Kevin Smith on bass, and John Sandfort on tenor saxophone. Nicole Chillemi sings as Billie Holiday, except on God Bless The Child, which features Guest Vocalist Zora Payne.
